We believe Baltimore can and should be a top destination for a diverse array of travelers, and Visit Baltimore wants the world to know that our city’s tourism & hospitality community is committed to supporting and embracing diversity, equity and inclusion. Which is why we created our Warm Welcome program, an initiative that invites our hospitality community to pledge their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Once committed, Visit Baltimore provides training tools on various subject matters such as race, disability, LGBTQ+ inclusion and more. But that’s not all, nurturing emerging leaders from underrepresented communities is an important part of our allyship work and goal of bringing more people of color into the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Our Diversity Apprenticeship Program is a paid apprenticeship withing the travel and tourism industry that guarantees employment at the programs completion.
