1.The Tamarin course, located just behind Nongsa Point Marina is the first course in the area designed by Jack Nicklaus. Strategically designed with sculptured bunkers and contoured greens, 9 of the 18 holes of the 'golden bear' course have been completed. Along with this premiere course, the next Jack Nicklaus-designed 9-hole course will offer true championship-level challenges for all golfers.
2.First opened in 1995, Tering Bay Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole par 72 championship course. Designed by golf celebrity, Greg Norman, it is a breathtakingly beautiful course amidst rolling hills, pristine lakes and lush tropical greenery. It is specially created as the centrepiece of the splendid Tering Bay Golf and Country Club on a site of over 130 hectares overlooking a picturesque bay in Batam.
3.Discover Palm Springs' 27-hole golf course with its magnificent views. The course has three outstanding nine-hole layouts – Island Course, Resort Course and Palm Course. You can choose your own combination of 18 holes from the three courses to make up one round of golf. Or you can simply play 27 holes at one go.
4.SouthLinks Golf Course, which is 18 holes, par 72. Designed by Japan's renowned Hisamitsu Ohnishi, who has imprinted his work at Cypress Golf Club and Takamaki Country Club.
5.Padang Golf Sukajadi Batam is the latest and only golf course which is in the middle of the prestigious. It is also the international standard championship course originally designed and created by reputed golf course designer Thomson, Wolveridge & Perret.
6.The Indah Puri Golf Course, which is located on the north-west coast of Batam Island, shares the same pedigree as Singapore's Tanah Merah and Sentosa Serapong courses and is created by world renowned golf architects, Ronald Fream Design Group. Covering 3,000 acres of stunning scenery, the course is nestled amidst lush greenery and ringed by azure blue waters.
7.Formerly called Paradise Bay, Batam Hills golf course is located near the Waterfront City area of Batam, which is on the northwestern side of the island. The front-nine is laid out through a jungle environment, providing undulating and tree-lined fairways.

Batam Island is a Duty-Free Zone, so prices are comparatively low in comparison with Singapore. Where to buy, what to do and what to eat ?
1.Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre is Batam’s biggest mall. It opened its doors in 2007 and has 3 floors of retail shops. The Food Arcade on the ground floor has a variety of restaurants to choose. HYPERMART selling just about everything and it is reasonably priced with snack food, bakery to keep you busy at least for an hour or two. If you have time to spare, why not catch a good movie at Cinema 21
2.Mega Mall Shopping Centre is one of the largest shopping mall located just opposite the Batam Center Ferry Terminal - use the bridge connected to get across on the 2nd level (where the immigration check in) - start your shopping experience ! Restaurants and snack food outlets are scattered throughout the mall offering Indonesian, Asian and Western cuisine or visit the food-court. The ground floor is a home to Hypermart, one of a largest supermarket that sells a variety of items. Located in the 2nd floor is XXI Cineplex Movie Theatre, which has 6 screening rooms and shows the latest movies.
3.BCS Mall - Batam City Square: Don’t forget to top-up your mini bar for snack food and drinks at the Supermarket. Handphone & computers accessories, home appliances and a few small restaurants. 4th floor - the arcade and KTV Family where you can sing-your heart out for 2 hrs
4.Kepri Mall: A newest shopping mall in Batam, Carrefour and Matahari dept. store located there. Strategic location, being at the intersection of one of the main crossroads city of Batam. If from Hang Nadim Airport, take the main road, stay straight course toward a Nagoya.
5.Harbour Bay Mall located at Harbour Bay Ferry terminal opens its doors recently. This 48.000 square meters mall offers the ultimate shopping & leisure experience in Batam. There are 84 shops complete with Cineplex and large open-space for smokers. Surrounding areas are local restaurant, Pubs, Cafe and seafood restaurant.
6.DC Mall (Diamond City) is located in Nagoya. It is a medium-sized mall with quite a few shops. 60% of the Clothes, fashion accessories are traditional wear. The mall also has a retail shop that specializes in traditional Indonesian clothing (Batik) and Moslem clothes.
Shopping malls and most shops are open from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm every day and are normally open throughout all public holidays.
