**Yanqi Hotel Located on the island with a marina, the 110-room Yanqi Lake State Guest House is designed with a combination of natural elements inspired by the surrounding landscape and exudes the richness of diverse world culture gathering in one harmonious place. The design of Yanqi Hotel is inspired by the Chinese philosophy - ‘Man – Nature’ coordination and the value of modern China - ‘China – World’ interaction. The mountain view from the guestrooms and the view ‘looking out’ to the marina, shows intimate interaction with the natural surroundings. From the roof, the wall and the inside yard, the traditional Chinese courtyard concept plays into all the details to enhance the guest experience of space, ray of light and the most coalescing of Yanqi Lake. Guests seeking outdoor activities will not be disappointed with various options available. Yanqi Hotel also showcases a water stage, where a host of events and activities takes place throughout the year. **Conference Center The 14,069 square meters of meeting facilities including the 8,277-square-metre Conference Centre and ample out-door event space amidst beautifully landscaped natural gardens, offer the largest comprehensive and luxurious multifunctional event space in mainland China amongst international-brand MICE resorts. The Conference Centre’s architecture draws inspiration from the Han and Tang Dynasties and the blue roof symbolises the ‘Temple of Heaven’ (QiNianDian). Be it hosting a meeting or staging a global summit, the 1,850-square-metre Kempinski Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 1,400 delegates, while the 1,000-square-meters Yanqi Lake Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 750 delegates in a theatre set-up. Rooms are multifunctional and equipped with meeting aids, including wireless Internet, audio-visual equipment and intelligent light and sound facilities.

Located at the foot of the Hongluo Mountain in the northern Huairou District, Hongluo (Red Snail) Temple sits against the backdrop of the mountain, is fronted by a large lake and entrance gate marked by a large engraved pailou (arch). The building comprises five halls, each used for worshipping different gods. The temple is also famed for its bamboo grove which dates back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and contains tens of thousands of shoots. There are also Sakyamunis (one of the titles of the Buddha, derived from Sakya, name of the place he was born), 30-metre-high male and female gingkoes that are 1,000 years old, as well as an 800-year-old great pine entwined with two Chinese wisterias.
