The Tandoor – Beijing, the third unit of the chain, was launched in the capital city of China on June 2002 in the five-star Zhaolong Hotel in the same gorgeous style of its Shanghai and Chengdu units. It has 90 seats and two private dining rooms. The luxurious interiors, just like a royal palace for a Maharajah, capture the spirit of journey of the two Chinese monks, between 4th to 6th century, traveling on the Silk Route from China to India, across which traveled cultural influences, cuisine and religious scholars. The largely barbeque and curry based dishes, are prepared by Indian chefs. While the ingredients are imported from India, so is the entire kitchen and service team. It is the place to go if you want a genuine Indian experience.
