In 1878, Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas, purchased the land on which Hotel Ella now sits. Wooten’s son, Goodall, moved into the home on the property in 1900 with his new wife, Ella, who oversaw its transformation into a Greek revival mansion. The mansion underwent an extensive renovation in 2013, and now offers the perfect balance between modernity and a rich history rooted in the fabric of the neighborhood and the university.

Addison Texas plays host to the original U.S. location of Fogo de Chão. The dining area seats 300 guests and offers semiprivate areas that can accommodate parties up to 130. The historic Cementville paved the way for The Quarry Golf Course in 1993 and since then we have been proud to provide a premium level golf experience to area residents and visitors. The history of our property and the adjacent Quarry Market area go much farther back than that.
