About us

The Mercury Bolton is supposedly the first specifically designed motel in Britain. This one-story, flat-roofed structure, which was constructed in the late 1950s, is reminiscent of the classic motel featured in many American films. The Beatles, John Pertwee, Glen Tilbrook, and Terry Waite are just a few of the several well-known visitors that have stayed here. We take pride in defying the stereotype of a motel as being impersonal. You will always be given a warm and cheerful welcome at the Mercury, and we like including new friends in our community. This privately owned inn is one of the top hotels in Bolton. It provides welcoming service, comfort, and entertainment options every night.
