Built by the Monks of Glastonbury in 1487, it still has grandeur and period features, including a large open Tudor fireplace and four poster beds. Exclusive use only is offered by the owners of Shapwick, so the house is entirely yours for as long as you would like it. However, should you require a catered evening dinner; this can be arranged using our in house catering staff. Our grand Georgian dining room, with large floor to ceiling windows with stunning view of the Somerset Levels and magnificent chandelier sets the scene for that perfect evening dinner. Also, Guests can enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn or a stroll round and for the less energetic relax under the magnificent cedar trees with a glass of cold wine and just soak up the atmosphere.
