Hungarian National Museum

The Hungarian National Museum collects, preserves and presents the historical relics of the Carpathian Basin and Hungary since 1802. The majestic building was built by Mihály Pollack, the same architect who built the original building of Párisi Udvar as well. Various artists have performed in its garden, including Ferenc Liszt. Today the garden is the venue of the Museum Festival. Scenes from the movie Evita, starring Madonna were filmed on the steps leading in.
It is easily accessible from our hotel with 10 minutes of walking, by tram or by subway.

The Dohány Street Synagogue, also known as the Great Synagogue, is a historical building in the 7th district of Budapest. It is the largest synagogue in Europe, seating 3,000 people and is a centre of Neolog Judaism. The synagogue complex consists of the Great Synagogue, the Heroes' Temple, the graveyard, the Memorial and the Jewish Museum. World famous composers such as Ferenc Liszt and Camille Saint-Saëns played its original 5,000-pipe organ built in 1859.

Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
