About us
Friars Court is located in Burford, England. It has been the family home of the Willmers since 1917. The current Cotswold stone house has stood on its moated site, close to the River Thames, for over 300 years. The green and tranquil setting of Friars Court has proved to be a very popular location for weddings. With eight licensed locations for civil ceremonies - including three outdoors; a rustic Cotswold Stone barn and three marquee locations we are able to host weddings with, or without, the reception from 4 to 150 guests. The Old Laundry with its large woodburner has comfortable armchairs providing seating for up to 16 guests whilst the adjacent 40 ft semi-glazed Garden Room overlooks the herbaceous borders of the back lawn. The Garden Room can seat maximum up to 80 guests.
