Tourism Calgary’s Sport, Culture & Major Events team helps to support more than 80 cultural and sport events annually. As local experts, the team can provide insight into grant opportunities, volunteer networks, venues, hotels, and all aspects of hosting a successful event in Calgary! Sport is part of Calgary’s identity, history and at the centre of our vision for the future. With more than 300 thriving local sport organizations, and a reputation as a training Mecca for high performance and Olympic winter sport athletes, Calgary has cemented its place among the leading sport cities in the world. Calgary is also a cultural hub with a celebrated arts scene and an array of ethnic and cultural festivals and events taking place year-round across the city. Our team knows what it takes to host a successful and memorable event, big or small - Calgary prides itself on being the Ultimate Host City! We will work with you to create a tailored strategy to achieve your event objectives. Our team dedicates significant resources to develop comprehensive bid packages and will continue to support your event through to the end.
