The University of Kent hosts conferences for up to 1500 delegates. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and a varied coastline, Canterbury's proximity to London and its major airports, the Channel ports and Eurostar terminal, make it the perfect location for UK and European events. The University is also a popular choice for professional seminars, private functions and wedding receptions. We specialise in catering for leisure and special interest groups from the UK, Europe and beyond and bookings for individual and family holidays are welcome. Each enquiry is dealt with by a dedicated co-ordinator, ensuring that your individual needs are taken care of. Amongst its many facilities, the University offers more than 100 conference rooms suitable for groups as small as 10 or as large as 1,200 and accommodation for 2,500 in the vacation periods and a wide range of excellent sports and technical facilities.

The University has four colleges - Eliot, Darwin, Keynes and Rutherford - plus the Cornwallis Building and the Grimond Building. Each can form a self-contained venue with a range of break-out rooms from the main meeting areas. Most of the theatres have raked seating, affording excellent viewing of your presentation. The Grimond and Cornwallis Buildings are stand-alone complexes designed to offer suites of specialist seminar rooms and lecture theatres.
