About us

National Botanic Garden of Wales is conveniently situated near Carmarthen on the A48 from Cross Hands to Carmarthen, minutes from the M4. It is the first national botanic garden to be created in the new millennium.We are a charity which receives financial support from the Welsh Government. Our mission to inspire, educate and conserve has not only made us a beautiful place to visit but a fascinating and relevant one too. We have an amazing collection of over 8000 different plant varieties, spread across 560 acres of beautiful countryside. In such a short time we are the most visited garden in Wales. It is a wonderful place to hold private functions, seminars, training days and conferences. Not only can we offer a beautiful setting, but we have excellent facilities for large or small scale events, and we provide an individual service to cater for a wide range of needs. Conference facilities are available during the day or in the evening. Seating within the rooms can be tailored to your particular needs.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
