In March of 1998 Kurt created 'Grasing's Coastal Cuisine'. In an impressive first year it received enthusiastic review and was voted 'Best New Restaurant' and 'Best Chef' by the readers of 'Adventures in Dining Magazine. More recently, Grasings has been featured in Bon Appétit Magazine's Best of the Year issue, and was awarded Carmel Business Association's 'Business of the Year' award. Just this year, Carmel Magazine awarded Grasing's as 'Critic's Choice.'Chef Kurt Grasing has developed a menu that reflects stylist simplicity by using ultra fresh ingredients gleaned from California's coast and Central Valley. Dishes are displayed in modest fashion that belie the intense combination of textures and flavors. The award winning wine list consists of an eclectic variety of California wines at reasonable prices. When the sun is out, enjoy dinner outside on the pet friendly patio for a true Carmel experience. Come see for yourself why Grasings is the place to dine in Carmel.
