Artisans will hand-make things such as leather goods, oils, linens, shoes and spices, and will even sell ancient antiques which have been passed down by their ancestors. Purchasing operates with a bargaining system, and most vendors offer reasonable prices or are willing to negotiate.

The Hassan II Mosque is the second largest mosque in Africa After the Algiers grand mosque, and the 7th largest in the world, Its minaret is the world's second tallest minaret at 210 metres. The mosque stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. The walls are of hand-crafted marble and the roof is retractable. A maximum of 105,000 worshippers can gather together for prayer: 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 on the mosque's outside ground.
