About us
A warm welcome awaits you at The Market Inn Hotel, a family run hotel situated in the beautiful food town of Castle Douglas. Located in the middle of the thriving food town of Castle Douglas, unique for its traditional shops such as butchers, bakers and cobblers, as well as for its budding modern boutiques, gift shops and cafes. We have 9 letting bedrooms, 5 double, 3 twin and 1 single. Our room facilities will be sure to meet all your requirements. Our lounge bar, equipped with a traditional coal fire for the long winter nights, is both modern yet comfortable. The larger function room situated to the rear of the hotel has been transformed to suit all needs, ranging from family functions such as weddings, birthdays and christenings, to more commercial needs such as antiques fairs and clubs and societies nights. The public bar at the very back of the hotel with outside entrance, is cosy and friendly, decorated to suit the local trade of the near by farmers market.
