We are the only all-suite, full-service hotel located in the heart of SouthPark, the city's best dining and shopping district in Charlotte, North Carolina! Complimentary features include on-site fitness centers, business center, parking and local area transportation. Queens University of Charlotte was founded in 1857 as the Charlotte Female Institute, located at College and 9th Streets near the center of the city. From 1891-1896, it was called the Seminary for Girls. In 1896, the Concord and Mecklenburg Presbyteries chartered the Presbyterian Female College. The Seminary for Girls merged with this new college. In 1912, anticipating the move to the present campus in the Myers Park residential area, it became Queens College. The name Queens College was adopted for several reasons - one of which was to honor the British Queen, Charlotte of Mecklenburg. Yes, Hilton is committed to reducing waste across our portfolio. All of our hotels were required to remove plastic straws, stir sticks and cocktail picks in 2019, and we are currently transitioning from individual bath toiletries to full-size dispensers.
