About us
Maidens Barn, a stunning choice for your luxury wedding venue in Essex, is the perfect place for a country wedding. Maidens Barn, whilst being one of the best country wedding venues in Essex, is still within easy reach of London, the M11 and Stansted Airport. The Barn has a lovely garden with views over the open countryside. It also has a wedding arbour – a very special place for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Maidens Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies and we do not charge extra for this (you do, of course, have to pay the Registrars). We can seat up to 200 people but many civil weddings are not so big and the Barn can provide an intimate setting for smaller wedding groups. If the weather is fine we are also licensed for outdoor civil wedding ceremonies. These take place under the arbour in our beautiful garden with views over the open countryside.
