About us
The Essex Record Office (ERO) is the county’s central repository for resources, located at Wharf Road in Chelmsford. The Essex Record Office Conference Centre offers a range of rooms to meet all needs, whether it's a large gathering in our 140-seat lecture theatre, or a team meeting in one of our smaller rooms. The whole suite of rooms booked together can accommodate a total of 225 people. There are seven rooms available for hire, suitable for different sizes. The Bamford Area is used for lunches and catering arrangements for around 50 delegates. For larger parties, it is recommended that the Repton/Maynard area is used.
