The domestic terminal is capable of handling 30 million passengers and the international terminal is able to handle more than 1 million passengers annually. A new terminal, T3A, and an additional runway are under construction. In terms of passenger traffic, Jiangbei Airport was the ninth-busiest airport nationwide in 2016, handling 35,888,819 passengers with a year-on-year growth of 10.8 percent. The airport was the eighth-busiest airport by traffic movements and tenth-busiest airport by cargo traffic in China in 2016.
