WHAT IS TIVOLI GARDENS ? Tivoli Gardens amusement park in Copenhagen is a must for all visitors to the city, both young and old. Tivoli is very easy to get to, located just a few minutes’ walk from City Hall, and with the Copenhagen Central Station as its nearest neighbor. For nearly two centuries, visitors have streamed to Tivoli Gardens for fun, culture, shopping and dining. This fun fair amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen has more than 30 rides, a large children’s play area, shops, concert venues, a beautiful garden, casinos and around 50 restaurants ranging from gourmet style to delicious fast food. Tivoli Gardens was founded in 1843 and has become a national treasure and an international attraction. Fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen visited many times, as did Walt Disney and many other celebrities, who all fell in love with the gardens.
