About us

Heritance Kandalama is located in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. A hotel that doesn’t sit on the landscape but is part of it. It is located in in the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle, 20 minutes from the ancient town of Dambulla and 160km from Colombo. The 152 rooms at Heritance Kandalama showcase the architectural genius of Geoffrey Bawa split between two wings, all rooms overlook the Kandalama tank and forest. Traditional Sri Lankan food is a wonderful mix of taste, color and aroma. Because the island’s location made it a popular stopping off point for foreign traders, indigenous spices such as cinnamon and cloves have been enriched by diverse culinary influences from around the world. Purge the pressures of the workplace at the new Heritance Kandalama Conference Centre – Sri Lanka’s most inspirational venue for retreats, meetings and conferences. Observation elevators will usher guests to the conference center which houses 6 flexible meeting spaces totaling 5,685 square feet.
