The Hotel National is in a central yet quiet location, surrounded by a small park in Davos Platz. It is only a few steps away from the Promenade, Davos's elegant shopping street. From there, the free local buses run every few minutes. It is easy to reach the skiing or hiking areas using public transport. The Conference Centre is also within easy walking distance (10-15 minutes). The famous Panoramaweg mountain footpath passes close to the hotel and the Schatzalp funicular railway up to Thomas Mann's Zauberberg is only a few minutes' walk away.
