About us

Die Firenze Fiera, ein Meisterwerk der militärischen Renaissance-Architektur, wurde von Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane geplant und vom Herzog Alessandro de' Medici in Auftrag gegeben. Sie wurde zwischen 1534 und 1537 erbaut. Die Firenze Fiera ist seit 1967 der Hauptveranstaltungsort des Messezentrums in Florenz und liegt strategisch günstig im historischen Stadtzentrum. Die Firenze Fiera hat eine Gesamtfläche von fast 100.000 Quadratmetern (1.076.000 Quadratfuß), von denen mehr als die Hälfte überdacht sind, und ist dank der Möglichkeit, einen Plenarsaal mit bis zu 2.200 Sitzplätzen zu bauen, ein idealer Ort für Ausstellungen und Kongresse mit einer hohen Teilnehmerzahl sowie ein perfekter Ort für offizielle Empfänge und Galaveranstaltungen. Diese komplexe und prestigeträchtige Umgebung verbindet reizvolle und perfekt restaurierte historische Orte (wie die Quartieri Monumentali — das Monumentalgebiet — oder die Polveriera) mit modernen Pavillons wie dem auf drei Stockwerken erbauten Spadolini-Pavillon (eröffnet 1977) und dem erst kürzlich erbauten Cavaniglia-Pavillon (eröffnet 1996). Die konservative Restaurierung des gesamten Geländes wurde entsprechend der Weltraumdestination und den Anforderungen von Veranstaltern, Ausstellern und Besuchern vorgenommen.
