About us

Antica Dimora Leones, das aus der fachmännischen Restrukturierung eines aristokratischen Palazzos aus dem 19. Jahrhundert hervorgegangen ist, ist ein Herrenhaus mit Charme auf den Pisanischen Hügeln im mittelalterlichen historischen Viertel von Palaia, nur wenige Kilometer von Volterra und San Miniato entfernt. Die dreizehn Zimmer sind mit antiken Möbeln und wertvollen Antiquitäten eingerichtet, darunter antike Drucke und Gemälde. An der Decke und an den Wänden sind noch originale Fresken aus dem 19. Jahrhundert zu bewundern. Darüber hinaus bietet es auch einen Versammlungssaal. In der Halle können auch Kurse oder kleine Kongresse abgehalten werden.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
