About us

Das Hotel Grifone befindet sich in einem der üppigsten Pinienwälder Italiens, in einer Landschaft voller natürlicher Oasen an der Grenze des wunderschönen Naturparks der Maremma. Trotz seiner luxuriösen Lage ist das Hotel nur 350 Meter vom Meer und einem Strand entfernt, der mit der Blauen Flagge der Europäischen Union ausgezeichnet wurde und von der Legambiente-Vereinigung für Sauberkeit, Umweltbewusstsein und nachhaltige Entwicklung mit 4 Segeln ausgezeichnet wurde. Der breite Strand von Principina a Mare erstreckt sich hinter seinem schützenden Sanddünenrand kilometerweit in die Ferne. In den dreißig Jahren seines Bestehens zeichnete sich das Hotel Grifone immer durch seine heimelige Atmosphäre aus. Es verfügt über 38 gut eingerichtete Zimmer, die komfortabel und modern sind. Das Restaurant serviert traditionelle lokale und toskanische Gerichte.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
