Der Antwerpener Hauptbahnhof, auch bekannt als Middenstatie (Mittelstation) oder Spoorwegkathedraal (Eisenbahnkathedraal), wurde 1905 erstmals genutzt. Die Struktur besteht aus einer Bahnsteigverkleidung aus Stahl und einem steingepflasterten Bahnhofsgebäude im eklektischen Stil. Vor kurzem wurde der Bahnhof komplett renoviert und 2007 wurde ein Tunnel unter dem Bahnhof und einem Teil von Antwerpen eröffnet, wodurch der Status des Bahnhofs als Endstation, an dem alle Züge umkehren müssen, rückgängig gemacht wurde. 2009 wählte das amerikanische Magazin Newsweek den Antwerpener Hauptbahnhof zum viertschönsten Bahnhof der Welt.
