About us

Das 4-Sterne-Hotel Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort liegt auf einer 310 Hektar großen Insel im Fluss Suir am Rande der Stadt Waterford und bietet einen wunderbaren und ruhigen Rahmen für Tagungen, Konferenzen und besondere Veranstaltungen. Waterford liegt 2 Stunden vom Flughafen Dublin und 1,5 Stunden vom Flughafen Cork entfernt. Das Resort besteht aus dem Schloss aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit 19 Zimmern, darunter 5 Suiten, sowie 48 moderne Garden Lodges, die jeweils über 3 Doppelzimmer verfügen. Die maßgeschneiderten Unterkünfte des Schlosses sind einfach wunderschön. Jedes Zimmer ist nach Verbindungen zur großen Familie Fitzgerald benannt, die das Schloss seit seinen Anfängen im späten 12. Jahrhundert rund 800 Jahre lang verwaltete. Die Schlosszimmer bestehen aus Standard- und Deluxe-Zimmern. Zu den Suiten gehören Superior, Deluxe und unsere charakteristische Präsidentensuite. Das Schloss kann privat und exklusiv für intime Geschäftstreffen und besondere Veranstaltungen genutzt werden. Die Garden Lodges, 8 Minuten zu Fuß vom Schloss entfernt, sind eine perfekte moderne Option für größere Gruppen von Delegierten. Jede atemberaubende Lodge bietet 3 geräumige Doppelzimmer, jedes mit Zugang zum Balkon und herrlichem Blick auf unseren Golfplatz. Eine sehr große und offene Küche/Essecke und ein Wohnraum runden den Wow-Faktor unserer Lodges ab. Insgesamt bietet das Resort Platz für 182 Personen bei Zweibett- oder Doppelbelegung pro Zimmer. Das Resort bietet auch einen 18-Loch-Meisterschaftsplatz, der vom legendären irischen Golfspieler Des Smyth, ebenfalls ehemaliger Vizekapitän des Ryder Cup, entworfen wurde. Der Par-72-Golfplatz nutzt die natürliche Landschaft der Insel optimal aus und ist ein guter Test für Golfer aller Niveaus. Ein Clubverleih ist im Clubhaus möglich, wo auch täglich Essen serviert wird.
