Das Taipa Houses-Museum, das fünf typische Gewächshäuser mit macanesischen architektonischen Merkmalen der portugiesischen Matrix umfasst, gilt als eines der kulturellen Relikte und des kulturellen Erbes der Insel. Das Taipa Houses-Museum wurde 1921 erbaut und diente früher als Wohnhaus für hochrangige Beamte und macanesische Familien. In den späten 90er Jahren beschloss die Regierung, sie in Anerkennung ihres wichtigen architektonischen Werts vollständig umzugestalten und sie in Museen umzuwandeln. Das „Macanese House“ ist eines der typischen Häuser Macaus im Kolonialstil. Es erinnert die Besucher an eine Zeit portugiesischer Pracht, die durch den häufigen Wohlstand der Briten, Mandschu, Mandarinen und Händler in diesem winzigen Gebiet geprägt war. An der Beach Avenue, früher bekannt als Hope Beach Avenue, beherbergt das House of the Islands heute eine ziemlich relevante und exquisite Sammlung in einem stilvollen kolonialen Konzept, als dass es die kollektiven Erinnerungsaufzeichnungen dieser Zeit sind und sich als eine der klassischen und reizvollsten Island-Sammlungen durchsetzen. Im „Haus der Regionen Portugals“ werden portugiesische Kostüme aus verschiedenen Regionen gezeigt. Die „Exhibition Gallery“ dient als Veranstaltungsort für regelmäßig verschiedene Arten von Ausstellungen. Das „House for Reception“ ist für Regierungsempfänge sowie für kulturelle Veranstaltungen und gastronomische Festivals konzipiert.
