Das Vila Galé Collection Alter Real - Equestrian Resort, Conference & Spa ist ein Hotel in Alentejo, in Alter do Chão, auf dem Gestüt Alter, dem ältesten der Welt. Diese 4-Sterne-Unterkunft verfügt über 77 Zimmer, zwei Außenpools für Erwachsene und einen für Kinder, ein Satsanga-Spa mit beheiztem Innenpool, ein „Invicável“ -Restaurant mit regionaler Küche und eine „Dressage“ -Bar. Es hat auch eine Bibliothek, zwei Tagungsräume und einen Veranstaltungssaal. Für intimere Anlässe verfügt es auch über eine vollständig restaurierte traditionelle Olivenölmühle mit einem typischen Holzofen und eine Weinhandlung, in der das Hotel häufig regionale Wein- und Olivenölverkostungen organisiert. Die Alter Stud Farm, die Heimat des reinrassigen Lusitano-Pferdes, wurde 1748 von König D. John V gegründet und gilt als das älteste der Welt, das ununterbrochen am selben Ort betrieben wird.
