MUSEUM DER REPUBLIK DIE ZWEITE GROSSE NATIONALVERSAMMLUNG DER TÜRKEI Das Museum der Republik befindet sich im Gebäude der Zweiten Großen Nationalversammlung der Türkei. Das Gebäude der Zweiten Großen Nationalversammlung der Türkei wurde 1923 vom Architekten Vedat Tek als republikanische Volksversammlung entworfen. Als die Erste Große Nationalversammlung der Türkei jedoch unzureichend wurde, wurde die Funktion dieses Gebäudes auf Befehl von Atatürk geändert und als Versammlungsgebäude eingerichtet und am 18. Oktober 1924 in Betrieb genommen. Das Gebäude wurde zweistöckig im Untergeschoss mit Sichtsteinen errichtet. Die Fensterbögen, die Porzellanpaneele auf den Oberflächen, die breiten Traufen und die handgeschnitzten Holzdecken mit osmanischen und seldschukischen Motiven spiegeln die Architektur der „republikanischen Zeit“ wider.
