About us
Maritim Hotel is a luxurious beach resort & spa of the highest international standard, picturesquely framed by a 25 hectare green tropical garden and nature park and flanked by the Indian Ocean. Its remakable setting, overlooking the most enchanting Turtle Bay, our hotel is a pertfect blend of tropical and colonial architecture which provides an elegant background for a sophisticated and yet totally relaxing vacation, thanks to the unequally multitude of sports and leisure facilities available. The truly dedicated and genuinely friendly nature of its ever smiling Mauritian staff, the good food, the location and surroundings, the flexibility to meet our guests' requirements are well known by our repeat guests, and have now become the gurantee symbol of quality service. The hotel lies on a private beach front estate known as Balaclava along Turtle Bay ideally located between Port-Louis 12 km (15 minutes) and Grand Bay 12 km (15 minutes) on the nortwest coast, which is the sunniest region of Mauritius.

In the event that a group is canceled after being confirmed, the Hotel shall be entitled to claim payment of cancellation fees of 3 days' full services ordered. If cancellation occurs after final rooming list has been issued (7 days before arrival), the Hotel shall then charge full cancellation fees.
Additional details
Immersed in the calming ambience of a tropical hideaway, Balaclava is a historical estate dating back to the 18th century, with fascinating natural scenery. On the northern border flows Citron River, over dams and cascades into a shallow lagoon integrated in the lush tropical vegetation. Mysterious ruins remain to be explored as witness of the colonial times. Walkways and footpaths allow for long walks through the luxuriant garden of the estate with its magnificent views over the impressive mountain range of Mauritius. Turtle Bay is the first Marine National Park in Mauritius with well preserved underwater life. There are excellent snorkelling grounds right off the beach. Aquamarine warm waters and secluded golden sandy beach in front of the hotel 500 m long well protected by a coral reef. The bay has excellent conditions for all kind of water sports.
