Der Marquise-Palast (Het Markiezenhof) ist eines der schönsten Beispiele eines spätgotischen Stadtpalastes in ganz Westeuropa. Es wurde Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts von den berühmten flämischen Baumeistern Anthonie und Rombout Keldermans als Wohnpalast der Herren und Marquisen von Bergen op Zoom erbaut.
Heute ist der Marquise-Palast (Het Markiezenhof) ein Museum, in dem auch das Regionalarchiv untergebracht ist. Der Schwerpunkt des Museums und der Archive liegt auf der Geschichte der Stadt und der Region Bergen op Zoom. Es beherbergt auch ein Museum, das die Geschichte der Messeattraktionen im Laufe der Zeit zeigt, sowie eine Sonderausstellung mit internationalen politischen Karikaturen.
Auf Het Markiezenhof ist für jeden etwas dabei. Die Säle werden häufig für Konzerte, Theateraufführungen und Filme genutzt. Darüber hinaus ist es auch „der richtige Ort“ für Partys und Hochzeiten oder Kongresse und Geschäftskonferenzen.
