Veranstaltungen im bcc stehen für den Einsatz nachhaltiger Technologien, den effektiven Umgang mit Ressourcen und einen nachhaltigen Veranstaltungsbetrieb. Neben einer energieeffizienten Beleuchtungsanlage, Strom aus 100% erneuerbaren Energiequellen, einer modernen Lüftungssteuerung mit Wärmerückgewinnung und der Nutzung regionaler Waren und Dienstleistungen, der Mitarbeiterzufriedenheit und den sozialen Aspekten Die meisten Technologien, Möbel und andere Geräte, die im BCC verwendet werden, sind bereits vor Ort und gehören dem BCC. Dadurch wird verhindert, dass bei jeder Veranstaltung Tausende von Kilometern gefahren werden. Wiederverwendbare Produkte und Materialien werden für Ausstellung und Dekoration bevorzugt. Dank langjähriger Erfahrung können Lebensmittelmengen in der eigenen Küche des bcc exakt berechnet und Überproduktionen vermieden werden. Um das Engagement des bcc für Nachhaltigkeit sichtbarer zu machen und eine kontinuierliche Verbesserung sicherzustellen, wurde das bcc 2023 im Rahmen des Programms „Nachhaltiges Berlin“ von visitBerlin, das auf komplexen Anforderungen in den Bereichen Governance, Risk & Compliance, Wirtschaft, Umwelt und Gesellschaft basiert, als „High Performer“ zertifiziert.
