About us
The Basement ist ein vielseitiger, einzigartiger und atmosphärischer Raum in den Argus Lofts in Brightons North Laines. Der Raum ist ideal für die Entwicklung, Produktion und Präsentation von experimentellem Theater, Live-Kunst und Performance. Es ist auch die perfekte Kulisse für Ausstellungen, die das Gegenteil eines Galerieraums mit weißen Wänden suchen. Durch seine unterirdische Lage ist es ideal für gezielte Seminare, Workshops und Tagungen der etwas anderen Art. Mit unverputztem Mauerwerk und Eisenbalken ist The Basement eine leere Leinwand mit einem ausgefallenen industriellen Flair. Es wurde im September 2003 im Rahmen eines Percentage for Art-Programms des Stadtrats von Brighton & Hove und des Entwicklers von The Argus Lofts gegründet und später im Frühjahr 2007 renoviert und erweitert.
