Die drei Bahnhöfe Budapests — Keleti, Nyugati und Deli — sind nur wenige Haltestellen mit der U-Bahn oder Straßenbahn entfernt. Mit dem privaten Auto: Das Hotel freut sich, Ihnen einen Parkservice anbieten zu können. Überdachte Parkplätze stehen für EUR 27 netto pro Nacht zur Verfügung. Elektroladestationen sind vor Ort verfügbar. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln: Der Bahnhof Blaha Lujza, gleich um die Ecke vom Hotel, befindet sich an der roten U-Bahnlinie, die von Ost nach West über die Donau fährt. Der Bahnhof dient auch als Knotenpunkt für Straßenbahn- und Buslinien.

Die erste königliche Residenz auf dem Burgberg wurde im 13. Jahrhundert nach der Invasion der Mongolen erbaut. Er wurde im 14. Jahrhundert erweitert und wurde zum wahrscheinlich größten gotischen Palast des Spätmittelalters. Der Bau wurde im 15. Jahrhundert nach der Heirat von König Matthias Corvinus und Beatrix von Neapel im Jahr 1476 fortgesetzt. Viele italienische Künstler und Handwerker begleiteten die neue Königin und brachten den Renaissancestil nach Buda. Der Palast wurde bei der Befreiung von Buda von den Türken vollständig zerstört. Im 18. Jahrhundert wurde ein kleines Barockschloss errichtet, das mit der Kernstruktur des heutigen Schlosses identisch ist. Während der österreichisch-ungarischen Monarchie fanden im Palast aufwendige Zeremonien statt, die den Frieden zwischen der Dynastie und der Nation symbolisierten. Der Wiederaufbau des Königspalastes wurde im 19. Jahrhundert fortgesetzt und 1904 abgeschlossen. Am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde der Palast schwer beschädigt. Es wurde erneut im neobarocken Stil unter Verwendung vieler Originalteile umgebaut.
