About us

Das Hotel Bixio wird seit 1958 (dem Jahr der Einweihung) von der Familie Donati geführt. Es liegt an der Küste von Lido di Camaiore, im Zentrum der Versilia, umgeben von grünen Wäldern, aber in der Nähe weltlicher Zentren wie Viareggio und Forte dei Marmi, Nachtclubs und Unterhaltungsparks aller Art für Kinder. Ganz in der Nähe des größten Handelszentrums der Gegend (Esselunga), des Krankenhauses Unico in der Versilia, des wöchentlichen mobilen Marktes von Lido (Montag), eines Lunaparks für die Jüngsten im Sommer und einer charakteristischen kleinen Kirche. Alles ist zu Fuß oder mit den vom Hotel geliehenen Fahrrädern erreichbar. Die Gegend ist der beste Ausgangspunkt für Kurzausflüge in die Toskana (Florenz, Pisa, Lucca, Carrara, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Insel Elba usw.), die direkt an der Rezeption gebucht werden. Für den schönsten Tag Ihres Lebens organisieren wir Hochzeitsempfänge. Wir haben einen großen privaten Garten, in dem Sie Ihre Gäste empfangen können. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
