Sie bestehen aus ph-neutralem Material, das keine ökologischen Auswirkungen hat, sodass Rückzugsgebiete geschaffen werden, in denen Flora und Fauna gedeihen können. Lange und mühsame Arbeit wurde in die Teile gesteckt, die künstliche Riffe bilden werden, um die biologische Vielfalt zu fördern. Ihre Skulpturen werden sich im Laufe der Zeit weiterentwickeln und mit Meeresalgen, Schalentieren und benthischer Fauna bedeckt sein, um ein integraler Bestandteil des lokalen Ökosystems zu werden. Ihre raue Textur ermöglicht es den Larven, sich an ihnen festzuhalten und zu gedeihen, während ihre Ecken Fischen und Schalentieren Schutz bieten.
