Der Tieshanping Forest Park befindet sich im östlichen Teil der Hauptstadt Chongqing, im mittleren Teil des Tongluo-Gebirges und im Hinterland des Liangjiang New Area. Es grenzt im Osten an den Yufu-Industriepark im Liangjiang New Area, im Süden an den Jangtse-Fluss und blickt auf der anderen Seite des Flusses auf Nanshan, im Westen auf das Hafengebiet Cuntan Bonded Port und im Norden auf den Yufeng-Berg in Yubei. Die Gesamtfläche des Tieshanping Forest Parks beträgt 14,93 Quadratkilometer mit einer höchsten Höhe von 583,9 Metern. Im Park befinden sich der Mönchstempel und die Ruinen des antiken Schlachtfeldes sowie die „Zehn malerischen Orte von Tieshan“, darunter der gegenüberliegende Himmel des Bronzegongs, die ferne Glocke des Mönchsbeamten, der Klang des abgelegenen Talgongs, der Regen, der im Zen-Garten lauscht, die heilige Quelle von Tieshan, die Suojiang-Stätte, die Duftsuche in den Blumenfeldern, die Yunling-Bergkette, der Sternenhimmel in das Grasland und der Songying River Moon. Im April 2014 wurde der Tieshanping Forest Park als nationale Touristenattraktion auf AAAA-Niveau eingestuft. Am 23. Oktober 2016 wurde der Tieshanping Forest Park in die zweite Charge der „China Forest Oxygen Bars“ aufgenommen. Am 20. September 2019 wurde dem Tieshanping Forest Park vom National Greening Committee der Ehrentitel „National Greening Model Unit“ verliehen.
