About us

Das Melville Castle befindet sich auf dem idyllischen Landgut am Stadtrand von Edinburgh und ist ein bezaubernder Ort für Ihre Veranstaltung. Einst der Jagdsitz von Mary Queen of Scots, die für ihren geliebten Rizzio Kastanienbäume pflanzte, die bis heute im Wald stehen. Das heutige georgianische Schloss wurde 1786 von Henry Dundas, 1. Viscount Melville, auf denselben Fundamenten erbaut, um Unterhaltung im großen Stil zu bieten, was bis heute andauert. In den letzten Jahren wurde das Schloss liebevoll restauriert und bietet eine Reihe von Räumen, die sich perfekt für Veranstaltungen jeder Größe eignen, von kleinen Tagungen bis hin zu großen Ausstellungen; von 4 Teilnehmern in einem privaten Speisesaal bis hin zu 220 Gästen in unserem Festzelt. Die Gäste sind eingeladen, den ruhigen Komfort dieses historischen Schlosses zu genießen, darunter unsere 33 komfortablen Zimmer, das hauseigene Brasserie-Restaurant und die Kellerbar, lokale Waldspaziergänge, Aktivitäten auf dem Land und Aktivitäten wie Tonschießen, Golfen, Reiten und Falknerei.
