About us
Mpongo Private Game Reserve is located at East London in South Africa. Situated approximately 1200 meters above sea-level, the Buffalo River runs through the extravagant Amathole Mountains of the Eastern Cape and runs East across the coastal plateau towards the Indian Ocean. It is here that the Buffalo River runs into the sea at East London – South Africa’s only river port. Mpongo’s River Lodge and Chalets provide game lodge accommodation in the heart of the reserve. The lodge offers 11 luxurious bedrooms and the three chalets each have 2 bedrooms with spectacular views of the Umpongo River. For a conference with a difference, Mpongo offers tranquil surroundings, four intimate venues & tailor-made packages to suit your specific requirements.
