City of Kemi can, for good reason, be called the winter travel destination of the Bay of Bothnia. Kemi is an excellent alternative for traditional skiing holidays thanks to its Snow Castle, built every year for almost twenty years, the Sampo Arctic Icebreaker cruises and winter safaris. The slopes of Lapland await conveniently only a few hours’ drive away. The frozen sea, with the snow sparkling in the late winter sunshine, offers a fantastic backdrop for cross-country skiing, ice fishing and kick sleighing.
