Located in Rutledge Hill – just a few blocks south of Historic Broadway, in the heart of Downtown Nashville – Husk, from The Neighborhood Dining Group, is reinterpreting the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in Nashville. At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine. Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.

Ophelia’s Pizza + Bar is now open for dinner service. Situated below the historical L&C Tower in the heart of Downtown Nashville, Ophelia's offers signature pizza pies, classic Italian entrée's, specialty cocktails and one of a kind dessert experiences. "When we started working on the concept behind Ophelia’s Pizza + Bar, we were really inspired by the classic Shakespearean tragedy, Hamlet,” says Patrick Whalen, co-owner of the 5th Street Group.“ We wanted to reimagine European dining traditions and bring it to downtown Nashville's dynamic atmosphere." The menu focuses on Italian inspired cuisine created by Chef Partners Jamie Lynch and Adam Hodgson utilizing imported Italian ingredients as well as local Nashville products. Chef Jamie boasts an impressive culinary background including Le Cirque, Aureole and Café Boulud. Since opening Church and Union Charlotte in 2012, he has been recognized as Charlotte Magazine’s Best Chef 5 separate times. He competed on Season 14 of Top Chef in Charleston where he made his mark with his controversial decision to give up immunity, the only time in the show’s history, he also competed on Season 17 Top Chef All Stars LA. “We have created a menu that caters to both locals and visitors who are seeking a dining experience that combines the city's character with playful and classic flavors," said Chef Partner Jamie Lynch. "Our dishes are fresh takes on traditional favorites, and we're thrilled to bring another really great dining option to 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville.” Following dinner service each Friday and Saturday, Ophelia's will offer the After-Dinner Party Experience from 10:30pm-3am. Our Nashville restaurant is located on Signal Crossing, a premier destination for shopping. The restaurant features an open churrasco grill where guests can dine and watch gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare, and grill different cuts of meat over an open flame. The main dining room is anchored by a white Carrara Market Table and our signature bas-relief interpretation of Antonio Carigni’s O Lacador statue, the embodiment of the gaucho culture. The restaurant also features soaring wine displays, dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging, and a lively indoor bar, ideal for all-day happy hour.
