About us
Das Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) ist das erste eigens errichtete internationale Kongresszentrum auf der Insel Borneo. BCCK liegt am Flussufer am Isthmus, nur 8 km vom Zentrum von Kuching entfernt und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den weltberühmten Borneo-Regenwald im Hintergrund. Mit einer bebauten Gesamtfläche von 37.958 Quadratmetern ist das innovative Design von BCCK sowohl ästhetisch ansprechend als auch umweltfreundlich. Das Dach des Gebäudes ist dem Ririk-Blatt nachempfunden, das seit Jahrhunderten von den Ureinwohnern Borneos verwendet wird und das Dschungeldach darstellt, das Wasser effektiv verteilt. Das Gebäude wurde geschickt entworfen, um das Eindringen von Sonnenlicht zu begrenzen und dadurch die Anforderungen an die Klimatisierung zu reduzieren. Der Große Saal bietet flexible Räume für fast 5.000 Personen, sowohl auf flachem Boden als auch auf abgestuften Sitzplätzen. Er kann schnell in einen exquisiten Bankettbereich für über 2.000 Personen oder in einen Ausstellungsbereich mit über 300 Ständen umgewandelt werden. Weitere 14 Tagungsräume bieten Platz für Veranstaltungen für 20 bis 500 Personen, und das Raintree Restaurant bietet Platz für bis zu 120 Gäste. Zu den weiteren Einrichtungen gehören VIP-Suiten, Gebetsräume, 800 Parkplätze und ein großzügiges Anmeldefoyer.
