Broken River Mountain Resort, in the cool mountain tranquility of Eungella National Park, is both a retreat from Queensland's tropical heat and the world's best location to see platypus in the wild. And it is more than just a unique wildlife experience. Just 90 km by road from Mackay on Queensland's Barrier Reef coast, Broken River Mountain Resort is 5 km from the village of Eungella. From the spaciousness of your own one or two bedroom lodge to the comfort of a motel-style studio, Broken River Mountain Resort welcomes you for a unique stay close to your platypus neighbors. Our Modern and stylish, Possums Table Licensed Restaurant is open for hearty breakfasts and elegant evening meals where you can enjoy the fresh quality of tropical Queensland’s farms, rivers and oceans. We also have a conference facility for 50 people.
