It all started in the early 1950s when a large, hard working family from Canada moved to Arizona to pursue the American Dream. They built the first Grand Canyon Inn and Restaurant (as well as a service station) in a small town between Red Lake and the Grand Canyon.In 1977 the family moved and built the current Grand Canyon Motel in Valle. Yes, Hilton is committed to reducing waste across our portfolio. All of our hotels were required to remove plastic straws, stir sticks and cocktail picks in 2019, and we are currently transitioning from individual bath toiletries to full-size dispensers.
