About us

The Waterloo Hotel and Bistro is located in a commanding position with easy access to road (M4) and rail networks; Cardiff is only 15 minutes away, ideal for the Millennium stadium. Newport is surrounded by beautiful landscapes including the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the undulating Vale of Usk, famous for its salmon fishing; the Brecon Beacons National Park and Forest of Dean - both less than an hour's drive from The Waterloo Hotel. Following a luxury refurbishment in 2007, yet still retaining all of its original features, the hotel now boasts 1st class comfort with 21 luxury en-suite bedrooms. It is a truly boutique and unique venue for your wedding reception. The Waterloo is the ideal venue for weddings with up to 90 guests although we do have a smaller room available for the more intimate wedding celebration.
