Come and stay at Headlands, Opunake's newest luxury accommodation and the home of legendary surf breaks located in the Taranaki region. Take a breather in fresh seaspray air or the warmth of our welcoming hospitality. At the top of the tower, enjoy views of Mt Taranaki and sunrise/sunset views of the Tasman Sea. Meeting rooms – seats up to 30 theatre style and 20 boardroom style. Catering from adjoining restaurant. Meeting room and restaurant interconnect to create a large function room – can seat up to 70 and accommodate up to 100 cocktail styles. Excellent indoor-outdoor flow with doors opening to courtyard, the ideal venue for your event.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
