About us
Rugged mountains bordering the un spoilt Vaal River is the setting for Smilin' Thru Resort. A mere hour from Johannesburg, 10 km from Parys and part of the world-renowned Vredefort Dome Heritage Site. Rondawels are 4 sleepers, with 1 double bed and 2 single bunk beds. The Chalets are situated on the river bank, and face each other with braai facilities in-between. They are all 4 sleepers, with either a double bed or 2 single beds in the main bedroom. Our 4 sleeper Cottages have the same layout as the Chalets, but have baths instead of showers, and the 6 sleeper Cottages have 2 bedrooms with bunk beds. The African Village B&B also incorporates a highly sophisticated conference venue which caters for up to 60 delegates. A breakaway room is also available for those "away from home" board meetings.
