About us

Die besondere Lage des Hotel IL Monastero macht es einzigartig: in der Nähe der Berge des Naturparks „Sette Fratelli“ und nur 5 Gehminuten vom Meer entfernt. Einige Zimmer befinden sich im ältesten Teil des Gebäudes aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, während sich andere in dem Teil des Hotels befinden, der in den ersten Jahren des Jahres 1900 ein Bauernhof war. Wir bieten zwei Restaurantsäle (Sala del Re e Sala della Corte) mit bis zu 500 Sitzplätzen und Freiluftbereiche wie „I Giardini della Regina“ mit seiner wunderschönen Vegetation und Wasserfällen.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
