Das Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant ist im National Register of Historic Places eingetragen. Das prächtige Lehmgebäude im ersten Stock aus dem Jahr 1820 war die private Residenz von Don Juan Bandini, einem farbenfrohen und wichtigen Akteur in der frühen Entwicklung San Diegos. Sein Haus wurde zwischen 1827 und 1829 am ersten Stadtplatz von San Diego erbaut. 1869 wurde es im Besitz von Albert Seeley, dem Betreiber der einzigen Postkutschenstrecke von San Diego nach Los Angeles, um die 2. Etage erweitert und zum Cosmopolitan Hotel umbenannt. Das Gebäude, das den California State Parks gehört, wurde vollständig renoviert und erhielt wieder sein Aussehen von 1869. Es wurde im Juli 2010 wiedereröffnet.
